Yoga is very ancient.  There are many types of yoga.  Yoga is an alternative therapy to medication.  Yoga helps condition your body.

Yoga focuses on the mind to teach you how to concentrate.  The focus is internal between your head and body.

Yoga uses controlled  breathing as a way to merge the mind, body, and spirit.  Controlled breathing, if done right, slows down the heart rate and easies pain that you may have.

Hatha is used most in the United States.  Yoga can relax your body and decrease stress.  You can practice yoga at any age.  Try doing yoga around your young children and you will see that most children will try doing it with you.  Alway talk to your doctor before starting.
